Want to buy veggies for a neighbour who needs them?Help us support Little Mountain Neighbourhood House's food hub
city beet partnership with little mountain neighbourhood house
This season, we're partnering with Little Mountain Neighbourhood House to provide vegetables for their Food Hub programs. Please consider helping us do this by contributing to our GoFundMe.
Growing on residential yards and using a CSA model like we do, community is integral to everything that goes on at City Beet. Little Mountain Neighbourhood House does great work right here in our community and we're really excited about our veggies being part of what they do. Thank you so much for supporting us and for chipping in!
City Beet Farm is a small-scale urban farm located in the heart of Vancouver. The food we grow is a symbol of community commitment, love for the land, and a break in the status quo.
City Beet Farm is located on the traditional, unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples: the mi ce:p kʷətxʷiləm (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.
City Beet Testimonials
"Hop on the City Beet Farm bandwagon! You’ll get to know the farmers who do the hard work. You’ll get to know people in your neighbourhood. You’ll get to try new veggies and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how good everything tastes. My kids literally fight over who gets to eat the kale on the walk home from the pick-up!"
"The diversity of product is amazing. The quality of the food is excellent. But most of all, I love the farm-to-community connections City Beet have fostered."
"Loved seeing the harvest change through the season and the vegetables were beautiful and delicious. As a flower CSA member, bouquet pickups were the best part of the haul. These were the most beautiful flowers I had ever gotten and looking at them daily made me really happy."
